Inspirational Biz Tips from Robert Kiyosaki

A series of Business Tips from Robert KiyosakiRobert Kiyosaki

Robert Toru Kiyosaki (born April 8, 1947) is an American businessman and author. Kiyosaki is the founder of the Rich Dad Company, a private financial education company that provides personal finance and business education to people through books and videos. He is also the creator of the Cashflow board and software games to educate adults and children business and financial concepts.

The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.
~Robert Kiyosaki

The size of a person’s or a business’ success depends on the depth of commitment from the people involved.

Robert lists three levels:

  1. The strength of your desire — how badly do you want to succeed in the endeavors you are creating or are you just ‘playing’?
  2. The size of your dream – how big is your dream?  Do you see beyond your life and circumstances to what you could be?
  3. How you handle disappointments — do you retreat when you have set-backs or do you pick yourself up and move on?

From my perspective, success is attained through commitment!  Do we desire to be committed, do we dream of our commitment, and do we stick to our commitment even when things don’t work out?

That what it is all about!

Face your fears and doubts, and new worlds will open to you.
~Robert Kiyosaki

Lack of progress in your personal life or business is most often due to fear and doubts — about yourself or your future.

But we have two choices:  Either sit in our fears and doubts doing nothing.  Or pushing through our comfort zone to create something wonderful.

I remember my very first sales call as a new sales rep.  Of course, I worked in sales in many capacities previously, but walking into that first store and approaching that first buyer scared me!

So, sitting in my car in the parking lot of the store, I could either push past my fears and go in or give up, turn around, and go back home.

Obviously, I pushed through and found the buyer pleasant and eager to see what products I had for sale, and most of those early stops ended up in sales. (Of course, in those days, I was selling chocolate bars.  Who wouldn’t want to buy chocolate bars!!).

Truly, there is a new world outside your comfort zone!!

Inside of every problem lies an opportunity…Few people realize that luck is created.
~Robert Kiyosaki

Once again, here are two quotes that are related.

We all deal with problems, but have you ever considered the problem as an opportunity?

When we complacently sit by and let life happen to us, we learn very little.  Yet, when problems come up, we are right there trying to find a way to make it work out for the best.

Same with luck.  Do you believe it just happens or that we create our own luck?  Sometimes, being at the right place at the right time is due to a positive action on our part.

Do you look at problems as a positive way to more forward or as bad luck?  Your attitude about it can make all the difference in the world!
