Inspirational Biz Tips from Bob Proctor

A series of Business Tips from Bob Proctor

Bob Proctor is a towering figure wherever the mention of self help comes into discussion. In 1973, he founded his company and is described as an entrepreneur, a teacher, a writer, a business consultant and counselor. He is famous for his motivational speeches on how to be a better version of you. Bob has been on his mission to advise people to strategize their ideas in such a way that they would be able to create extravagantly glamorous and fulfilling lives for themselves for more than 40 years now.

Your purpose explains what you are doing with your life. Your vision explains how you are living your purpose. Your goals enable you to realize your vision.
— Bob Proctor

Effective planning consists of several interrelated steps.

According to Bob, the first step is setting your purpose (or mission)  or “what you are doing with your life”.  Without a firm purpose, we have no direction to accomplish what we want in life.

The next step is creating your vision:  Where do you want to be a year or 5 years from now.  Or “how you are living your purpose” described in the first step.

The last step is setting your goals to achieve your purpose and vision.  This is where you take your purpose and vision into action.

Do you have a written purpose, vision and goals for your life and/or business?

Let’s start with what we can be thankful for, and get our mind into that vibration, and then watch the good that starts to come, because one thought leads to another thought.
— Bob Proctor

I am a big believer in living in a state of gratitude.  No matter what is going on in our lives, there is always something to be grateful for.

According to the quote above, once we get our minds in the vibration of gratitude, the good starts coming our way.  Why?  Because we are focusing on the goodness of life and the universe responds by giving us more.

We all go through some tough times, but I find that moment I start seeing the good in my life, the difficulties seem to melt away.  I practice gratitude every morning and evening.  Thinking about what in my life I am grateful for has always moved me to the next step to creating good in my life.

So, what are you grateful for today that will propel you into more goodness in your own life?

Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.
— Bob Proctor

Most of us do not realize the power we have in our minds!  Thankfully, folks like Bob have made it their mission to share the news about how our thoughts become things.

For example, you have probably heard the story many times of kids who were told all their life that they are lazy and useless.  I worked in the foster care system when my kids were younger, and heard this story from teens all the time.  Unfortunately, many believed it and started acting useless.

But this damage can be undone when you fill these young minds with positive thoughts about themselves.  Just like each of us can create a better life for ourselves when we believe we can.

If you can believe in yourself and your power to be whatever you want, you start creating just that in your life.
