Intentions for 2018

Have you thought about what intentions and goals you want to reach in 2018?

Most of us have some downtime after the holidays to re-evaluate what and where we are in our business in order to set some new intentions of the Intentions for 2018new year.

Rob Fortier describes the process this way:

During this hectic time of year, take a few minutes for yourself. If you could briefly fast forward to the end of next year, just for a sneak-peek, what would you hope to see? What amazing things would you have accomplished? How would you feel? What will you have let go of completely? And what will you be doing more of?

Take time to write down these thoughts, the feelings that come up, and the life and business you imagine.  Put down as much detail as possible.

Now take a look at what you’ve written. Pull out the 2 or 3 items you truly are willing to work for to transform from a fantasy into reality, the ones that will have the biggest or the farthest-reaching impact. Ask yourself how you can you get started, right now, making them happen, and jot down those ideas too.

It’s not about waiting for the perfect time to make something a reality. It’s taking the first step or 2, putting the wheels in motion, and building on the momentum. Because if you wait until you have all the answers and have every piece in place, you might just end up waiting forever. But if you start on the path of transforming your vision into reality, you’ll be amazed at the ideas and resources that will appear to help you make things happen.

I love Rob’s suggested process.  For those who like something more defined, here is my process:

Three Step Intention Exercise:

  1. Write down everything that you have achieved in 2017.  Note or say a prayer of gratitude for each goal or task completed.
  2. Let go and release everything that did not serve you in 2017 — including disappoints, painful situations, products or services that did not sell or just plain bad habits you want to get rid of.  You can write these down and burn them or flush them down the toilet (use toilet paper to write on!)
  3. Write down, don’t just think about them, at least 4 things, goals or intentions that you really want to make happen in 2018.  Post the list someplace where you will see and read them daily.

Research confirmat that there is power in writing down your intentions as written goals are 73% more likely to happen!

One of my goals for 2018 is to create videos and classes to share with folks like you!  Stay tuned …..
