Inspirational Quote from Zig Ziglar

Today’s business tip is from …Zig Ziglar
Zig Ziglar

Hilary HintonZigZiglar (November 6, 1926 – November 28, 2012) was an American author, salesman, and motivational speaker.  Ziglar was a charter member in the establishment of American Salesmasters in 1963 …  featuring speakers like Zig, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Ken McFarland, Cavett Robert, Bill Gove, Dr. Maxwell Maltz, Red Motley and many more. …. Zig went on to speak extensively for audiences of the National Association of Sales Education (NASE)…, and also became a major sales trainer for Mary Kay Cosmetics. In 1968, he became a vice president and training director for the Automotive Performance company.

“When you catch a glimpse of your potential, that’s when passion is born…
You were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with the seeds of greatness.”

Remember when you were a kid?  You thought you could do just about anything.  I remember growing up wanting to be a ballerina.  Although, I obviously, did not become a famous ballet dancer, I did continue dancing and actually taught country dance lessons with my husband in the 90s!

See You at the Top by Zig ZiglarToo often we lose that childlike wonderment about ourselves and the world and start thinking we are unworthy, untalented, or uneducated enough to live our dreams. But if we stop thinking like that and look at our potential, it drives us forward to a better version of ourselves.

I love Zig because he is so positive about life.  I first heard his messages on a cassette player during the 80s when I was selling World Book Encyclopedias! (And to sell encyclopedias in an economically challenged rural mid-western town, I needed lots of encouragement!!)

He taught me that I could succeed if I really believed in myself …. and I learned to do that — at least long enough to ‘earn’ a set of books for myself and my kids!

So, are you ‘catching a glimpse of your potential’?  Remember you were designed for greatness!
