Inspirational Thoughs from Anthony Scaramucci

Anthony Scaramucci (born January 6, 1964) is an American financier, entrepreneur, and political consultant who briefly served as the White House Director of Communications from July 21 to July 31, 2017. Scaramucci worked at Goldman Sachs’ investment banking, equities, and private wealth management divisions between 1989 and 1996. After leaving Goldman Sachs, he founded Oscar Capital Management, and in 2005, he founded the investment firm SkyBridge Capital.

“Panic implies that there is no rational thought taking place. That we are frozen and incapable of adjusting. Powerless to logic, and subject to seemingly unthinkable behavior.

Do you panic about your business?  I think we all do from time to time.

Anthony Scaramucci sees panic as a very destructive emotion:  Taking away our rational thoughts, killing our ability to adjust, making us powerless, and changing our behavior.

I thought about that for a while and realized how many times I have allowed panic to overshadow my thoughts.  When dwelling on it too long, it caused a disruption to the natural flow of life — especially in business.

Let’s decide that in 2020 we are not going to give in to panic and the negative emotions that come along with it.  Will you join me in this decision?  I hope so!

I would like to share one final quote from Anthony Scaramucci:

“The American Dream means any person can achieve prosperity through hard work and ingenuity because there are no inherent barriers in our society.”
