Inspirational Thoughts from Nate Silver

Nathaniel Read Silver (born January 13, 1978) is an American statistician and writer who Inspirational Thoughts from Nate Silveranalyzes baseball and elections. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight and a Special Correspondent for ABC News.  Silver was named one of The World’s 100 Most Influential People by Time in 2009 after an election forecasting system he developed successfully predicted the outcomes in 49 of the 50 states in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election.

“I have to make sure that I make good choices and that if I put my name on it, it’s a high-quality endeavor and that I have time to be a human being… I have to think about how to not spread myself too thin. It’s a really great problem to have.”

I interpret Nate Silver’s quote as making good choices, by doing the best in all endeavors, without spreading ourselves so thin.

For in doing your best, with balance, is a good thing.  Not only have you succeeded, but you show your endurance during the process.

Do you think about Nate’s thoughts when developing products and/or programs in your business?  When you do the best without compromising yourself, you can be proud of your work and the results.

Things may not always turn out the way we want, but when we apply ourselves, we can feel satisfaction on a job well done.

I would like to share one final quote from Nate Silver:

“We must become more comfortable with probability and uncertainty.”
