“You can learn from everyone, the president or the cleaner. You need teachers in life, but they’re not always school teachers or professors. You learn from ordinary people. You learn from travel, from just walking down the street.”
We can spend our entire life in learning mode if we see people and situations as ways to advance or knowledge and experiences.
Sometimes it is easier to go through a tough situation by finding a way to learn from it. And then there are all kinds and types of people we can learn from. I agree with Lapo Elkann when he says we can learn from ordinary people.
Schooling is important, but learning institutions are not the only place we learn. Personally, I have spent a great deal of my life reading about different subjects. I know I have learned more AFTER I stopped going to school then I did when I was attending school. If you think about it, you have probably done the same.
What I find interesting is Lapo Elkann believes learning comes from all aspects of life. Maybe that is why he is so successful!
