New Year is the time of day at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar’s year count increments by one. Many cultures celebrate the event in some manner, and the 1st day of January is often marked as a national holiday. In the Gregorian calendar, the most widely used calendar system today, New Year occurs on January 1 (New Year’s Day). This was also the first day of the year in the original Julian calendar and of the Roman calendar (after 153 BC)
For this last e-letter before the year ends, I would like to share some special quotes and thoughts about New Year and the start of 2021:
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.”
~Neil Richard Gaiman is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels, nonfiction, audio theatre, and films.
Push forward, despite the outward appearance. Nothing good ever comes from sitting, inactive, and not moving forward.

“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.”
~ Melody Beattie is an American author of self-help books on codependent relationships.

“Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing. Believe in yourself. And believe that there is a loving Source – a Sower of Dreams – just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true.”
~ Sarah Ban Breathnach is a best-selling author, philanthropist and public speaker.
Believing in yourself is the first step to success. Reach out and believe …
