Working in the service industry for many years, I learned this over and over again. It did not matter how wonderful a product seemed to me or how inexpensive it may have been, if it did not meet my customer’s and buyer’s needs, it would not sell.

One of the reasons why working closely with your end consumers is so important is you get a feel for what the customer wants. Local shows and fairs are great places to get feedback. Also, you can learn good sales skills at these shows.
