Inspirational Words from Subhash Chandra

Subhash Chandra Goenka (born 30 November 1950) is an Indian billionaire media baron. Inspirational Words from Subhash ChandraHe is the chairman of the Essel Group, an Indian media conglomerate, and founded Zee TV in 1992. Also, he was the chairman of Zee Media but resigned as Director and Non-Executive Chairman of the company on 24 May 2016. Subhash Chandra was elected to the Upper House of the Indian parliament for the Haryana state in the 2016 Rajya Sabha election, as an independent candidate supported by legislators from the BJP.

“If you accept failure, then you can improve on it. It’s funny though, because, on the flip side of the coin, I’d say that if you don’t accept failure, there is no failure.”

Interesting words from a successful businessman.

Failure is a part of life as projects and business does not always turn out the way we want.

But Subhash Chandra understands that accepting your current situation — especially when it comes to failure — is an opportunity to improve what failed in your business.

Then, he states that if you don’t accept failure, there is no failure.

The word failure tends to conjure up all kinds of negative connotations. What if we did not call it a failure?  Maybe ‘do-over’ is a better way to think about it.  When something does not turn out the way we expect, it is just an opportunity to try again!

Maybe Subhash Chandra is suggesting that we accept the circumstances when things don’t turn out and use it as an opportunity to try again — creating something better!

I would like to share one final quote from Subhash Chandra — which may explain his success:

“I often say that it’s only people who have their skin in the business who’ll work towards its success.”
